Vision 2047 Roadmap for a New Century

INTRODUCTION: THE DAWN OF A CENTENARY

In 2047, India will complete 100 years of independence—a moment of historical magnitude and reflection. From a post-colonial developing nation to one of the fastest-growing major economies, India's journey has been transformative. However, Vision 2047 is not just a symbolic milestone. It is a national mission, a collective aspiration to transform India into a developed, inclusive, sustainable, and globally influential nation.

The Government of India has outlined Vision 2047 to act as a long-term development blueprint, aligning policy, governance, economic planning, innovation, and social welfare to position India among the top nations globally. As we stand on the threshold of the Amrit Kaal—the 25-year period from 2022 to 2047—it is crucial to understand the vision, its guiding principles, sectoral goals, and the roadmap that will shape India@100.

THE CORE PHILOSOPHY OF VISION 2047

Vision 2047 rests on the foundational pillars of:

·         Atmanirbharta (Self-Reliance)

·         Vikas (Inclusive Growth)

·         Vishwas (Trust-based Governance)

·         Vikasit Bharat (Developed India)

Rather than being a mere economic or statistical goal, it is a multidimensional framework encompassing economic empowerment, global leadership, sustainable development, social justice, innovation, and strong democratic institutions.
